This Summer 2024, we're bringing back an old favourite: the Art Eras! Every week, we'll be focusing on a famous art movement of the 20th-21st century, and our students will get to explore a plethora of artist styles, art inspirations and techniques starting from June 24th all the way until September 6th. That's right, 11 weeks of non stop art history FUN for every single one of you! These will be available at all our studio locations: Steveston, Point Grey and Kerrisdale.
Every week is going to focus on a very important and fun art era or movement. From learning about graffiti and Vancouver mural art during Savvy Street Art week, to Pollock splatters and Mondrian primary splashes during Amazingly Abstract week, our team of talented artsy instructors will guide your child(ren) along a wonderful journey of art history, inspiration and creation!
We can't wait to share our knowledge of famous Fauvists, cool Cubists, and funky Futurists with you. There's also going to be fun favourites like Perfecting Perspective or Urban Landscapes art so it's going to be great for kid(s) who want to learn how to draw ancient to modern cities and space. We cannot wait for you to Have a Bowl of Surreal in the imaginative worlds of Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo and Joan Miro too! We've got mood boards for students to follow, wonderful prompts to create with, and at the end, students will take home an impressive portfolio of art and stories they can be proud of.
