Boo! Who's ready for some 'spoopy' artsy fun? At LAB, we love a good happy Halloween party where we can create and just have a daring delightful time.
Be sure to look out for the following frightful things happening at our studios:
On the upcoming Pro-D Days this Thursday October 19th and Friday October 20th, we have some really great ghoulish art for kids all ages (3-15 years old). Each 2 or 3 hour session includes materials and guided lesson for our students to learn how to make the following projects: Canvas Painting, Pencil Drawing + Story Writing, Polymer Clay Diorama / Figurines and Trick or Treat Bag decorating. Our theme is 'Spoopy Fun' so be sure to come make with us at either Steveston or Point Grey studios.
Next up, our LAB friend, Lady Hex, is going to host super family friendly Halloween workshops during the last weekend of October. These are for all ages, kids and adults are welcome to participate! Come make a cute Van-Gogh inspired Watercolour Card, decorate a tote bag, or paint a mini pumpkin (while supplies last) with us. Participants under 3 can join and will need to be accompanied by an adult. During Oct 28-31st, we'll also have face painting, games and prizes available at our studios.
Don't forget, we always welcome trick or treat-ers on Halloween day Oct 31! Yay!
Oh Halloween... the spookiest holiday of the year, has always held a special place in our hearts. It's that one time when you can be anything you want, and spookiness reigns supreme.
Why We Love Celebrating Halloween:
We love seeing how everyone dresses up! Halloween is the ultimate chance to see how all our students and fellow instructors unleash their creative side. We've seen some really amazing costumes, from dancing Pikachus to cute dinosaurs.
We enjoy spoopy spaces! At LAB, it's a great reason for us to put up some no-so-eerie decorations at the studio, and just have some fun with it. We love seeing our students get inspired and also decorate their spaces in a similar way. From cheerful pumpkin paintings to cute Halloween-themed crafts, there's an array of possibilities for self-expression.
It gets the community together! Halloween is a time for community and togetherness. Neighbours come together to decorate their homes, parents take their kids trick-or-treating, and adults enjoy costume parties. The sense of belonging and shared excitement is contagious. Don't forget to come by Steveston and Point Grey studios during our opening hours to get a trick or treat!
