Planning Your Kid's Birthday Party? Make It Artsy and Amazing!
Let's be honest: planning a kids' birthday party can feel overwhelming. You want it to be special and memorable, but you also don't want to spend a week cleaning glitter out of your carpet or stressing over entertainment that might flop.
Enter: the art birthday party!

At LAB Art Studio's Point Grey location (4431 West 10th Avenue), we've hosted hundreds of birthday celebrations that parents describe as "stress-free," "unique," and "the best party we've ever thrown." Here's why creative birthday parties are taking over Vancouver, and why our Point Grey studio has become the go-to party destination for families across Kitsilano, UBC, Dunbar, and beyond.
Why Art Parties Are the Perfect Choice for Kids
1. Every Child Goes Home with Something They Made
Unlike traditional party favors that end up lost or broken, at an art party, every guest creates their own masterpiece. Whether it's a painted canvas, a clay sculpture, or a mixed-media creation, kids leave with a tangible reminder of the fun they had. The parents appreciate that it's actually something meaningful, not more plastic junk. Choose from a variety of art mediums:

2. All Ages Can Participate
Have a birthday child with friends spanning from age 3 to 100? No problem. Art projects can be scaled in complexity, so younger kids paint simple designs while older ones add intricate details. Parents, you're definitely welcome to join the fun too!
3. Creativity Naturally Keeps Kids Busy
No need to plan elaborate games or worry about kids getting bored. When children are engaged in a creative project, they're focused, happy, and entertained. The art IS the entertainment.
4. It's Actually Stress-Free for Parents
Here's the beautiful part: at LAB Art Studio, you literally just show up with a cake. We handle:
All art supplies and materials
Setup before the party
Instruction and guidance during the art activity
Engaging the kids and managing the flow
Parents get to actually enjoy their child's birthday instead of running around frantically trying to keep kids entertained.
